1. Howard Multi-Purpose (MP)
Nothing beats a classic. Howard Multi-Purpose is our best-selling plastisol screen printed heat transfer that offers the most similar look and feel to direct screen printing.
Choose this transfer when decorating nearly any type of sweatshirt or fleece product because of its versatility. Howard Multi-Purpose offers superior opacity on both light and dark fabrics, as well as exceptional fine line detail.
Howard Multi-Purpose will also be your go-to when designing with intricate design details such as gradients or halftones. This product is backed by an aggressive, yet soft and flexible powder adhesive, making it as durable as it is versatile - another plus when decorating hoodies and sweats that are sure to get washed over and over!
2. Howard Hot Peel (HHP)
For the softest, nearly no hand feel you can achieve with a transfer, Howard Hot Peel is your go-to!
We would recommend this option specifically when decorating light and medium-weight sweatshirts and fleece to mimic the soft, light hand feel of the transfer. Howard Hot Peel is best suited for decorators with a high-quality, commercial grade heat press and requires high heat and high pressure for adequate application.
When choosing between Howard Multi-Purpose and Howard Hot Peel, it’s important to understand that you may be giving up some of “this” for some of “that”. Both are hot peel transfers, yet MP applies as low as 310°F and HHP applies at 365°F. This is important to consider if you’ll be decorating a wide variety of garments that may include heat sensitive items, and not just sweats. While both options will be plenty durable, MP wins out in this category. Conversely, HHP will top MP when it comes to light hand feel. It’s important to carefully weigh your options, and if you need some help deciding, don’t hesitate to consult with our sales team. No one knows the products better!
3. Vintage Wash
A truly unique transfer option, Vintage Wash provides a bleed-through look reminiscent of your favorite old worn-in sweats.
To make the most of this transfer’s distinctive transparent properties, we recommend choosing this option when decorating with light colored ink onto dark colored fabrics. For an enhanced vintage look, consider adding a distressed pattern to your artwork. This feature is not standard to the Vintage Wash transfer and must be added prior to artwork submittal or can be requested and added by our production artists at no additional charge.
Vintage Wash is available in both an MP and HHP version, meaning with or without adhesive powder. Ordering Vintage Wash MP means you have the versatility of Howard Multi-Purpose but will be limited to designs of 1-3 colors. Ordering Vintage Wash HHP means you have the soft hand feel of Howard Hot Peel but with a higher application temperature and you can submit design with 6+ spot colors.
